Live Oak Café, in the spirit of Mardi Gras will be decked out in the finest fashion of the season including an assortment of masques, beads and festive hats.
 
 
We will be featuring great Cajun Creole Specials, including: Crawfish Etouffee, Blackened Mahi with Andouille Sausage Gravy, Beer Battered Catfish, dirty rice, and authentic turtle soup just to name a few.
 
Immerse yourself in the tradition that is Mardi Gras, with festive creations of your favorite spirits, including Hurricanes, Mint Juleps, Voodoo Child Coffee, and true Louisiana brew.

Slow simmered red beans and rice with just the right touch of tasso ham, garnished with grilled andouille and boudin sausages.
(Watch out for the “Green Gator” or you’ll think its still Monday too)
 
 Cajun Sampler
Buttermilk marinated frog legs and cornmeal dusted oysters, deep fried to perfection and served with a classic Remoulade dipping sauce

Crawfish Etouffee
Crawfish tails, onions, sweet peppers and herbs smothered in a thick robust brown sauce. The essence of true Louisiana Creole cuisine at it’s best.
 
Fried Catfish
Louisiana beer battered fried catfish, topped with a sweet bell pepper Creole sauce, served with dirty rice and vegetable du jour
 
Shrimp Bayou Teche
 Jumbo shrimp sautéed with bell peppers, onions, celery and eggplant served in an eggplant pirogue with an anisette tinged Creole sauce
 
Blackened Mahi
FreshGulf Mahi, iron skillet blackened, topped with cornmeal dusted  fried oysters and andouille sausage gravy, served with dirty rice and vegetable du jour
